5 Yoga Poses That Will Help You for Weight Loss

Although yoga routines are usually utilized for mind and body healing, you could actually lose weight by simply doing yoga.

Note that yoga routines are not meant for losing weight or shedding excess calories. But if you really want to get rid of those fats and extra pounds,

  1. Triangular Pose or Trikonasana

The triangular pose or Trikonasana is not as challenging as the other yoga poses that will make your muscles tremble afterward.
Apparently, this is one of the easiest yet most effective poses to tone your abs. You can surely flatten your belly and tone your abs if you do this regularly.

On your stationary position with your feet shoulder-length apart, breathe slowly. While exhaling, move your two legs away from each other
creating an inverted V inside your thighs. Gradually, bow down and reach your left foot with your left hand. Upon reaching your foot, r
aise your right arms upward. Make sure that your body and arms are positioned straightly.

Do this on both sides and repeat 8 times for both sides.

  1. The Bridge Pose

The bridge pose focuses on many parts of your body. These include the thyroid, abdomen, glutes, and arms. Essentially, these focal points
are all helpful when you are trying to lose weight.

Lie comfortably on your back. Slowly, raise your thighs and abdomen area by putting the force on your legs and feet. Once your belly and thighs
are straight up high, allow your chest to gently touch your chin. Slowly, move your arms under your back and hold your hand together to firmly
hold your weight. Do this for 3 to 5 minutes.

Your thyroid gland will produce much more hormones that will help your metabolism further. Also, you can efficiently tone your abs and arms in this pose.


  1. ArdhaPinchaMayurasana

ArdhaPinchaMayurasana is also known as the Dolphin Pose. By simply doing this daily, you could improve more your digestive system.
Also, your overall stance and strength on your arms will be much better.

This pose will make you appear like you are in an inverted V position. Initially, you just need to get down on your hand and knees.
Consequently, make sure that your forearms are on the floor. With this, ensure that your shoulders and elbows are in parallel with each other.
Slowly, raise your buttocks and spine upwards while you straightly tuck in your toes together.

Walk in slowly towards your arms and the take deep breaths. Do this for 8 to 10 positions.

  1. Matyasana

Matyasana is also called as the Fish Pose. In fact, when you carry out this pose in water, it will allow you to float like a fish can do on aquatics.
Aside from that, Matyasana pose can help you effectively lose weight since this pose relieves all tension on your upper body.

Initially, lie gently on the ground with your arms at the side and feet together. Slowly, place your hand and elbow on your back.
Make sure that you are bringing closer together your elbows and your palms flatly positioned at your back.

Gradually, raise your chest and neck slightly from the ground. But be sure that you are pulling all your weight off your elbows
and arms and not with your head. Once your head is slightly touching the ground, inhale for a few seconds and hold your position for as long as you comfortably can.

  1. Virabhadrasana

Warrior pose is another name for virabhadrasana. This pose is considered to be the most gracious of all yoga poses. In addition,
you could gain a lot of benefits from this. Not only that this pose can bring you peace, courage, and grace but it can actually help you tone your muscles.
Aside from this, you could lose the excess weight too.

Before starting this pose, you need to stand firmly on the ground with your legs wide apart by 3 to 4 feet. Raise your arms both sides and both ways
with your palms raising upward. Breathe in and out slowly. Once done, bend your right knee while slowly breathing out.

Slowly, turn your head to the right and stretch further your arms as you comfortably stand in your position. Push down your pelvis and smile wide as
if you are a happy warrior. Breathe in and out for a few minutes and then go back to your initial position. Do this for 3 to 5 repetitions daily.

These yoga poses are not meant for you to lose weight but these can largely help you in your fitness endeavors. But just make sure that you are giving
